CUBIT Christmas Newsletter

The Joy of Christmas is Upon Us
Merry Christmas from The Cubit Foundation
God Bless You!

Greetings friends of Cubit,

Although it has been a real political roller coaster ride in the Middle East this year, in Egypt, there seems to have developed a sense of hope as their expectations overwhelmingly look forward to peace in the Middle East, and for most, the first time in their lifetime. We join them in anticipation of peace.

The one thing that excites us most is that, more than at any time in the past 34 years, we have been ministering in Egypt and have been able to openly proclaim that only through Jesus can there be complete and lasting peace, which they are welcoming by the hundreds. I have been fortunate to represent Egypt’s interests in the negotiations and have seen firsthand how relying upon Jesus’ directives has changed what seemed to have been certain failure into surprising yet undeniable success. Success that has brought peace to Israel— a peace that is also embraced by the people of Egypt.

God is continuing to pour out His blessings upon God’s Widow’s Farm, which has now grown to 15 acres. The Ministry of Agriculture audits farms twice a year. We have copies of the government‘s audit of our acreage, which is now God’s Widow’s Farm, before it was ours. The average production of that land before was consistently about 1 (One) ton per acre. Our latest audit, in September of 2025, revealed that God’s Widow’s Farm’s average production was greater than 11 (Eleven) tons per acre. God owns it, co-owned by the widows, for God’s glory, and for ministry that God ordains (James 1:27.)

As such, we are proud to announce that our associate churches located in the old city of Cairo have picked up the responsibility of distributing our support to an additional 275 widows and 200 orphans, bringing the total support to nearly 1500 widows and 1,000 orphans per month.

So, thank you all for your prayers and support. Paula and I plan to return to Egypt in January or early February to obtain government approval to present to a selected number of widows to attend a sewing class. We will look for a place to hold this and provide sewing machines for them to use. We feel that giving them a future in which they can make a living is important.

Many of our widows have received jobs after receiving support from us, and they are able to find a place to live. With the extra money that is made on the farm, we are able to buy them cooking items and set up housekeeping for them. Please join us in a special prayer for the success of this proposed program. The Lord is already opening doors. Paula just found a group already providing sewing classes to empower Christian widows as well as Muslim widows to build bridges in Egypt.

All widows in Egypt often face religious oppression, social isolation and limited opportunity to work or provide for their families. They are encouraging these widows by equipping them with a new skill and reminding them they have a purpose. We hope to honor the women and let them know that they are valuable. Everything is going very well for them. They hope to have more classes in the future. We will check with them and maybe be able to join them. They already have the machines with 6-day-a-week classes. We deal with Muslims and Christians all the time. So maybe this will be the answer.

HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS!
We are praying for you daily!

Update from Dr. Ron

We are optimistic about our future because Jesus is in control. But it becomes more obvious daily that there is uncertainty in this world. Nevertheless, we know without a doubt that God has called The Cubit Foundation to:

  1. Work for Him in the Muslim world;
  2. Challenge believers like you to pray for the persecuted Christians daily;
  3. Minister for Him in Latin America (Brad is the director of our Latin efforts.)
  4. Bless the widows, with God’s Widows Farm.

So, thank all of you so much for your continued love, support and prayers. It is because of you and your support that we are able to continue doing what God wants us to do.

This has been a very active year for us, in which the pendulum has swung from great joy and blessing to hospital stays and physical pain. We are thankful to Brad, Ronal Jr and our board of directors, Valerie, as she holds down the fort while we are away, Kristy and Brant Fricker for helping with TV interviews and Kristy posting and keeping up with the website. But God has been consistent throughout this roller coaster ride, and His faithfulness has been non-failing.

It has been a busy year for the Charles’ in 2025. We traveled in the USA, as well as Europe & Egypt, for most of the year. We feel our age, but we have not received a release ministry.

Never before have I felt the hand of God on me, and I am excited about what the coming year will hold in Egypt. Never before were there open Christian Churches in Cairo. Never before have the Christians been able to worship more freely. But not all countries have this newly approved freedom.

Presently, there are 57 Islamic countries that do not have this level of freedom.

We share with you the plight of the persecuted Christians wherever we go, appealing to you to pray for the persecuted believers for a minimum of 5 minutes each day. Persecution of believers in Jesus is very much alive in today’s world. In just the first 10 months of this year (2025), more than 175,000 believers died for the cause of Christ (Nine out of every ten of these martyrs were Muslims who converted to Christ.)

Some of you may not be able to go to these places to serve the persecuted believers personally, but as you give or pray for these persecuted, you are, in reality, as much a part of meeting their needs as those who are physically on the ground ministering.

Thank you all so much! It is you who allow us to continue the work that God has called us to, and that supports us monthly. Also, thank you to the churches and pastors who support us monthly. It is not often a church wants to take out of its own ministry to give to a mission. Praise the Lord for all of you!

Again, it is this time of year that we honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, this Christmas season. We are so grateful for His love and provision all year. We are excited about what God is doing around the world and in the United States. We need to look to the good and be optimistic about what is ahead.

Please pray for your governmental officials (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Let’s show the love of Christ and be Godly examples. We wish you a blessed 2025 and a wonderful 2026 with great anticipation of what is to come.

“Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people… Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men” (Luke 2:10-14).

JESUS IS THE LIGHT IN A DARK WORLD
IN CHRIST, Dr Ron Charles and Paula

The Real Meaning of Christmas is JESUS!

Update From Paula

It is a blessing for Ron and me to serve the Lord. Our age is getting up there, and people think we should retire. But God is still using us. We have had challenges, and Jesus always comes to our aid just in time. Praise the Lord.

It has been a few years since I last went to Egypt. That last parasite was a bad one. But I am strong again. Can’t wait to get back to our widows and love on them.
I wanted to say hello to all of you, too! I just came across this picture of Ron. It is an older picture of him when he could climb mountains. His heart is still up there. This picture is called “A Man on a Journey that has a vision.” For our new friends, I thought you would enjoy this. Ron’s vision is to bring Christ to the persecuted believers.
We can also reach Muslims in America. If you see a woman in a head covering, try to give her a smile. It is much needed; they are not loved. But we can build bridges here, too.
I remember one time I was in the hospital in Paris. A Muslim lady was giving birth. No one would help her. I asked the husband if I could pray for her. He said yes. I laid my hand on her stomach and prayed. Peace came, and they knew Jesus was the answer.

Brad & LeAnne are keeping busy with Cid’s senior year. LeAnne is an office manager at a veterinary office. Brad, Cid, and LeAnne went to Mexico to Big Heart orphanage for their anniversary of ministry. They have three different locations now. Brad went on a mission trip there in high school, and it changed his life. Cubit has been a supporter of Big Heart for many years. Brad was also in Peru with Cid and his friend Ryan. They will be going back when they are able to and when the pastor clears his schedule. We believe this will be a great ministry in Peru for The Cubit Foundation. Praise the Lord! Many of you have given donations for the children’s school supplies. Thank you!

Cyrus is a senior and is busy, too. Cyrus was given an internship in forestry training. Cheri is a kindergarten teacher. Ron Jr. is very busy on the ranch in CA with the cows, goats and sheep. He wants to go back to Egypt when he can find the time between the births of the calves. But, while Ron Jr was in Egypt, he was able to give the Rozza family advice from his knowledge on the ranch about the cows on the widow’s farm and also on the crops. The whole family has had a large garden for years, and they love it. We are so happy that both our sons are involved in Cubit now. Amen! God bless you!
